What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Buyers and Director in driving top-line results in your assigned category while maintaining margins, product selection, and supply
  • Develop plans and work to ensure all items are uploaded in a timely manner to support business
  • Support the Buyers in analyzing the business and help develop innovative merchandising strategies
  • Manage product lifecycle, website maintenance, price changes, and inventory validation
  • Perform competitive analysis of current market and competitors to make educated recommendations for price and product changes
  • Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other cross-functional partners
  • Perform regular analysis of product and category performance on-site
  • Manage product discoverability through general site merchandising to increase sales
  • Partner with vendors to acquire digital imagery, marketing assets, and physical samples of new and existing products
  • Help prepare for monthly vendor meetings and Tradeshows
  • Coordinate with multiple cross-functional departments including Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Sales to support and drive traffic and sales to our website

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or Business or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • 2+ years of retail and eCommerce assistant buyer experience; off-price and discount experience preferred
  • Experience managing a high volume of SKUs and multiple vendor partnerships
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to the demands of the business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfort working with the team and independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Passion for putting people first and making a lasting impact
