We are seeking an experienced and analytical Strategy Analyst to join a leading financial services institution on a six-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong banking background, with proven expertise in data analysis, financial modelling, and product strategy. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and executing the credit and debit card product strategy, contributing to innovation within the bank’s growing digital payments environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Strategy, or a related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the banking sector, ideally in retail or business banking strategy, payments, or product development.
  • Proven experience in developing, launching, and managing credit and debit card products.
  • Strong capability in financial modelling, forecasting, and data interpretation.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with BI or analytical tools advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site corporate environment.

  

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed data and trend analysis to identify insights and opportunities supporting business growth.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable strategies aligned with the bank’s card and payments roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts to evaluate performance and profitability.
  • Lead and support the development, launch, and management of credit and debit card products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across product, finance, digital, and risk to deliver strategic projects effectively.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform product positioning and business decisions.
  • Prepare strategic reports, presentations, and business cases for executive stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing digital transformation and payments innovation initiatives.
