Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.
Role Overview
Our client currently has a vacancy for an IT Operations & Support Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in IT systems, Linux System (shell script, basic administration, TCP/IP)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Incident and Problem Management (ITIL) on IT systems/applications Technical Support;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of IT system architecture;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in writing system specifications and in understanding technical documentations;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Database management and Databases such as MySQL or SQL Server, Oracle or Postgres SQL;
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in Project Management (PM2 or Prince2 or PMI);
- Minimum 1 year of working experience with containerization;
- Minimum 1 year of working experience with Cloud services;
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Shell;
- Minimum 1 year of experience with XML basis XML basis (schema, parsing with xpath, transformation with xslt);
- Minimum 1 year of experience API Management (curl/Postman/Json);
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Confluence and JIRA/Citnet/GitLab;
- Knowledge of Application server (Tomcat or JBOSS/WILDFLY);
- Knowledge of Perl or Java;
- Excellent command of the English language and good knowledge of French is required.
Responsibilities
- Provision of technical consultancy/support services for IT Reception systems (4 applications);
- Management and monitoring the daily data ingestion, data storage and data processing in various formats
- Incident and problem management, technical support to end-users, Change management on applications;
- Production of other technical and functional documents;
- First-level technical support to colleagues of the unit in all issues related to HTML, XML, CSS;
- Maintaining and creating scripts in Linux;
- Creation and follow up of tickets for the solution provider;
- Testing new functionalities, identifying and reporting issues, and assisting in their resolution.
