Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Winery Manager to oversee the operations of their vineyard and winery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in winemaking, farm management, and facility maintenance, as well as a passion for upholding the quality and reputation of their wine products. This is an on-site position requiring residency at the winery farm.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Winery Manager or a similar role in the winemaking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of winemaking processes and vineyard management.
  • Strong knowledge of vineyard management, including maintenance of plantations and farming techniques.
  • Ability to maintain and replicate the unique taste and style of wine products.
  • Proficiency in managing vineyard and winery facilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to take initiative.
  • Willingness to reside on-site at the wine farm.
  • Commitment to maintaining the farm’s high standards and traditions.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the winemaking process, ensuring the consistency and quality of existing wine products.
  • Maintain the established taste and style of our wines.
  • Monitor the fermentation process and ensure proper aging, blending, and bottling techniques.
  • Implement quality control standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the wine farm, including vineyard maintenance and seasonal activities.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of winery buildings, equipment, and facilities.
  • Plan and supervise plantation activities such as pruning, irrigation, and pest management.
  • Ensure the health and productivity of vineyards to achieve high-quality grape harvests.
  • Maintain accurate records of farm and winery operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise and train farm and winery staff as needed.
  • Manage the budget and resources allocated for the farm’s operations.
