The Position

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking IT Applications Manager to lead their enterprise applications portfolio and support a major digital transformation initiative. This is an opportunity to shape the technology roadmap, mentor a talented team, deliver high-impact solutions across the organization, and gain exposure to global best practices through major industry conferences such as Dreamforce in San Francisco.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including a Tech Lead, Business Analysts, System Analysts/Programmers, and Support Analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Define and execute an enterprise applications roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and growth strategies.
  • Oversee support, development, and integration of mission-critical enterprise systems: ERP, Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities), HRIS, MES.
  • Ensure SLA adherence for incident response and resolution at all priority levels.
  • Oversee technical design and code reviews in partnership with the Tech Lead to maintain integrity and scalability.
  • Drive standardization of SDLC processes, release management, and support workflows.
  • Evaluate and enhance toolsets for Scrum backlog management, release planning, and support.
  • Champion AI adoption and automation pilots to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align IT initiatives with strategic goals and manage vendor relationships.
  • Support key projects such as ERP upgrades, data warehousing, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Your Expected focus is ~60% people/process/vendor, 25% roadmap/stakeholders, 15% technical governance (with the Tech Lead as day-to-day technical owner).

Mandatories:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years in IT application delivery, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing enterprise-scale applications and technical teams.
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and performance metrics.
  • Technical fluency in .NET/SQL; recent hands-on coding is an asset.
  • Exposure to data warehousing and BI concepts is an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Your Technical & Domain Knowledge Includes:

  • ERP and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • SDLC processes and release management.
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS) and on-prem migration strategies.
  • Reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau) and database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot).
  • Your Desirable Certifications Include Project Management - PMP, Agile; Technical - Salesforce certifications, ITIL.
