Carbon Capture: Utilizing diatoms as a natural solution for capturing atmospheric carbon.
Water bioremediation: Employing native diatoms to remove pollutants from water bodies

This hands-on, lab-based position will play a pivotal role in amplifying our groundbreaking bioremediation endeavors by cultivating native diatom strains in our lab facilities. The role will serve as the driving force behind our flourishing cultures, from the initial identification and isolation stages in the laboratory to supervising their seamless scale-up process.


Job Description:

-The Diatom Expert: Collect water samples to identify and isolate the perfect native diatoms for our projects

-Diatom Culture Caretaker: Maintain diatom cultures, including media preparation, proper inoculation, and overseeing their well-being throughout the lab-based stages.

-Scale-Up Specialist: Work collaboratively to develop strategies for transitioning diatom cultivation from small-scale labs to large-volume production, including outdoor cultivation in high-rate algal ponds.

-Growth Optimization Guru: Enhance diatom culture growth by adjusting environmental parameters and nutrient variations.

-The Experimentation Expert: Design and carry out experiments to assess diatom performance under diverse environmental conditions.

-Microscopic Marvel: Regularly assess diatom health and characteristics using microscopy techniques.

-Innovation Catalyst: Collaborate with the research team to devise creative diatom cultivation strategies and explore their environmental applications.

-Science Scribe: Document all scientific and technical aspects of your projects with accuracy and thoroughness.


Qualifications:

-You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or in a related field.

-You have experience with isolation, culture, and scaling up of microalgae (Experience with Diatoms is Desirable)

-You have aced the art of water quality analysis using instruments like pH meters, photometers, spectrophotometers, and microscopes (experience with dry weight determination is a bonus).

-You have enthusiasm and proficiency in microalgae cultivation laboratory techniques.

-You are well versed with microscopic techniques for diatom identification and quantification.

-You are an adventuristic spirit, willing to relocate to Noida, Uttra Pradesh to run the analysis onsite.

-You possess Microsoft Office mastery, particularly Excel.

-You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
