Job Title: Compensation Technical Lead (SAP SuccessFactors)
About the Role
We are looking for a Compensation Technical Lead to own and support the HR Compensation Management System technology within a global HRIS environment. This role will focus on the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of compensation and variable pay processes within SAP SuccessFactors. The ideal candidate will partner closely with global compensation leaders, HR, IT, and key stakeholders to ensure system effectiveness, data integrity, process consistency, documentation, and user enablement. This position requires strong experience in compensation systems, SuccessFactors configuration, and end-to-end compensation cycle support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of compensation and variable pay components within SAP SuccessFactors.
- Partner with global compensation leaders and subject matter experts to support regional and global compensation initiatives.
- Review and maintain compensation setup, system configuration, governance standards, and operational processes.
- Lead SuccessFactors Compensation administration, including forms, users, foundation data, translations, maintenance, testing, reporting, and audit support.
- Support compensation review and variable pay cycles, including training, documentation, troubleshooting, and user guidance.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and key business users to define requirements and recommend system-based solutions.
- Act as second-level support for compensation-related tickets and inquiries raised by end users.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance user experience, simplify training, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide cross-platform support across related HR modules such as Employee Central and Onboarding.
- Train, mentor, and support the compensation community on platform usage, reporting, and best practices.
Must-have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- 5+ years of experience managing compensation, HR technology platforms, systems, analytics, and processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Compensation.
- Experience managing compensation and variable pay review cycles.
- 5+ full life-cycle implementations of Compensation/SAP SuccessFactors, from planning and configuration through go-live.
- Certification in at least one SAP SuccessFactors module, preferably Compensation.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, analytics, processes, and data.
- Experience managing workstreams, monitoring project issues, and escalating when needed.
- Ability to manage confidential data with discretion and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across organizational levels.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, adapt to change, and drive improvements in a dynamic business environment.
