Were currently looking for a visionary and proactive Design Lead with experience integrating AI into digital product design. This role does not involve designing AI systems or interfaces, but rather leveraging AI tools to enhance traditional product and service design processes. You'll help shape not just what we build, but how we build it.

What You'll Do

Lead the strategic integration of AI tools to accelerate and improve the design process of digital products, services, and strategic initiatives.

Drive innovation by introducing AI-powered methodologies and pushing creative boundaries.

Use strategic thinking to identify opportunities where AI can add user value and solve complex design challenges.

Translate complex user needs into intuitive digital experiences prioritizing human-centered design, even when using AI.

Rapidly prototype and iterate using advanced AI design tools.

Conduct deep user research and usability testing to validate AI-enhanced designs in real-world scenarios.

Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to communicate the design vision clearly and effectively.

Contribute to the evolution of the design system and empower the team by identifying AI-supported process improvements.

Share knowledge and foster a culture of innovation around AI in design.

Requirements

5+ years of progressive experience in Product Design, UX/UI, Service Design, or Strategic Design.

Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes and real-world results.

Experience integrating or experimenting with AI tools in design (e.g., Figma plugins, generative AI).

Solid command of user-centered design principles, interaction and visual design, and design systems.

Strategic thinking and ability to articulate a clear vision for the future of design.

Advanced research skills in both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Expertise in high-fidelity interactive prototyping tools.

Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).

Ability to read and lightly edit frontend code for functional prototypes.

Strong communication and leadership skills to align cross-functional teams.

Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.

English proficiency (written and spoken).

Based in Latin America (preferably Guatemala).

Extra Points

A portfolio that shows AI-enhanced prototypes or experiments, ideally code-based.

Experience mentoring other designers or introducing new methodologies.
