Description
We are seeking a highly skilled DBA / Data Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to join our rapidly growing high-tech development team, working with clients across Europe and North America, including the automotive industry.
This role requires a unique blend of database administration, data engineering, and cloud data expertise to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data ecosystem. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in designing and maintaining robust data workflows that support business-critical operations.
Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.

Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.

Develop and manage Azure-based data solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and related services.

Monitor and troubleshoot database performance; implement indexing, partitioning, and best practices for query optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement scalable analytics and reporting solutions.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems and applications.

Support data modeling, schema design, and documentation of data flows.

Automate recurring DBA tasks and data operations to improve efficiency.

Participate in on-call rotations or incident support when required.
Requirements

4+ years of experience as a DBA, Data Engineer, or hybrid data role.

Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server (performance tuning, security, replication, backup/restore).

Proven expertise developing and maintaining ETL workflows with SSIS.

Solid understanding of Azure data services (Azure SQL, ADF, storage, monitoring tools).

Experience in data modeling, relational database design, and query optimization.

Familiarity with CI/CD concepts for data pipelines (nice-to-have).

Experience working in environments with complex data flows (automotive industry experience is a plus).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have

Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Spark.

Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools.

Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
