We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced professionals with advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and a strong eye for document quality, formatting, accuracy, and visual presentation.

This role supports advanced AI evaluation work focused on real-world business document generation. Selected professionals will review and compare AI-generated spreadsheets, documents, and presentations, assess both content and rendering quality, and provide structured feedback that helps improve how AI systems produce professional office artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

Office Document Evaluation

  • Open and inspect AI-generated Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files
  • Compare two candidate document outputs side by side and select the stronger response
  • Evaluate whether each deliverable accurately fulfils the original task requirements
  • Assess both content quality and final document rendering
  • Identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and formatting issues

Excel & Spreadsheet Review

  • Evaluate spreadsheets involving financial modelling, data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and charts
  • Review calculations, formulas, data structures, and spreadsheet logic for accuracy
  • Assess conditional formatting, table design, visual hierarchy, and overall usability
  • Identify broken formulas, inconsistent formatting, or unclear spreadsheet presentation
  • Evaluate whether spreadsheets are professionally structured and decision-ready

Word Document Review

  • Assess long-form documents for structure, formatting, readability, and professional presentation
  • Review headings, styles, templates, tables, page layouts, and document consistency
  • Evaluate track changes, formatting conventions, and complex document structures where relevant
  • Identify layout defects, styling inconsistencies, and content-quality issues
  • Assess whether documents meet professional business-document standards

PowerPoint & Presentation Review

  • Evaluate slide decks for layout, visual hierarchy, consistency, and communication quality
  • Review charts, data visualisations, typography, spacing, and slide composition
  • Assess whether presentations communicate information clearly and efficiently
  • Evaluate brand consistency and professional presentation standards
  • Identify visual or structural issues that reduce clarity or usability

AI Evaluation & Quality Assurance

  • Grade AI-generated office artifacts against structured evaluation rubrics
  • Provide clear written feedback explaining strengths, weaknesses, and preferred outputs
  • Identify recurring model errors across content, formatting, and rendering
  • Participate in calibration activities to maintain consistent evaluation standards
  • Contribute to improving AI performance across professional document-generation workflows

Ideal Profile

  • 3+ years of professional experience producing, reviewing, or analysing business documents
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong Excel skills including financial modelling, complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, and conditional formatting
  • Strong Word skills including long-form formatting, styles, templates, tables, and track changes
  • Strong PowerPoint skills including slide design, layout, data visualisation, and professional deck development
  • Professional background in finance, consulting, accounting, investment banking, operations, business analysis, executive support, or a similarly document-intensive environment is highly relevant
  • Strong attention to formatting, visual consistency, and presentation detail
  • Excellent written communication and ability to explain evaluation decisions clearly
  • Experience developing reusable templates, style guides, or document standards is advantageous
  • Previous document QA, formatting review, or cross-format quality-control experience is highly valued
  • Must own and use the full Microsoft Office desktop suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Minimum availability of approximately 10 hours per week, with 20+ hours preferred
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Compensation: $60–$90/hour
  • Microsoft Office desktop applications must be used to produce and inspect deliverables
  • Google Workspace, LibreOffice, and other Office-compatible alternatives are not accepted for project deliverables
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
  • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
