We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for Hebrew-speaking music producers and audio engineers with professional experience in music production, mixing, critical listening, and contemporary music analysis.

This role focuses on evaluating generated music across a wide range of genres in Hebrew and English. Selected professionals will assess musicality, creativity, vocal performance, production quality, mix quality, lyrical accuracy, and adherence to detailed creative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Music Production Evaluation

  • Evaluate complete tracks for production quality, musical coherence, and professional execution
  • Assess arrangement, balance, dynamics, sonic clarity, and overall production choices
  • Identify technical or creative issues affecting the quality of a recording
  • Review whether production decisions are appropriate for the intended genre and style
  • Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world production and engineering experience

Mix & Audio Quality Review

  • Assess mix balance, frequency distribution, dynamics, spatial positioning, and clarity
  • Identify masking, distortion, excessive processing, inconsistent levels, or other production issues
  • Evaluate vocal and instrumental integration within the mix
  • Review whether technical production choices support the musical intent
  • Distinguish substantive audio-quality problems from subjective stylistic preferences

Comparative Song Evaluation

  • Compare alternative songs head-to-head
  • Assess outputs based on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
  • Identify meaningful differences between stronger and weaker performances
  • Apply detailed evaluation criteria consistently across assignments
  • Provide clear reasoning supporting preference and scoring decisions

Genre & Musical Structure Classification

  • Label tracks according to genre and relevant sub-genres
  • Identify song structure, instrumentation, vocal characteristics, and other musical attributes
  • Assess whether genre conventions are represented accurately
  • Recognise production and arrangement features characteristic of different musical styles
  • Apply broad knowledge of contemporary Hebrew and international music

Vocals & Performance

  • Evaluate vocal quality, performance, phrasing, timing, and musical fit
  • Review vocal presentation in relation to genre and production style
  • Identify unnatural or technically weak vocal characteristics
  • Assess the interaction between vocals, instrumentation, and arrangement
  • Evaluate overall performance credibility and musical expression

Lyrics & Reference Review

  • Review generated Hebrew lyrics and vocals against provided reference material
  • Assess linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and consistency
  • Identify discrepancies between lyrics, vocal delivery, and reference content
  • Evaluate whether lyrical material fits the intended musical context
  • Apply native or near-native Hebrew language judgement where linguistic nuance is relevant

Structured Evaluation & Feedback

  • Produce concise written assessments of reviewed music
  • Identify specific production, mixing, vocal, lyrical, and musical-quality issues
  • Support evaluations with concrete observations
  • Follow detailed project instructions and quality standards
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across repeated reviews

Ideal Profile

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew
  • Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Mixing Engineer, or closely related audio professional
  • Strong understanding of music production, recording, mixing, and critical listening
  • Ability to evaluate musicality, arrangement, vocals, production quality, and mix quality
  • Broad familiarity with contemporary Hebrew music, genres, sub-genres, and artists
  • Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
  • Formal training in music performance, theory, composition, production, or audio engineering is advantageous
  • Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work is highly valued
  • Strong written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Flexible commitment, with many contributors working approximately 20 hours per week
  • No stated maximum weekly-hour limit
  • Immediate start
  • Project duration of up to approximately 6 months
  • Compensation: $30–$55/hour
  • Compensation may transition from hourly to task-based during the project while maintaining an equivalent effective hourly rate
  • Work includes comparative music evaluation, production and mix review, musical classification, lyric and vocal assessment, and structured written feedback
  • Application may include a bilingual competency assessment in Hebrew
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, artist, or other third party
