We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced K-12 education professionals with strong expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, special education, assessment, student support, and school or district-level programmes.

This role supports advanced AI evaluation work focused on realistic K-12 education workflows. Selected professionals will design complex educational scenarios, develop reference outputs, and create evaluation rubrics that reflect how experienced educators and school leaders approach instruction, student services, standards alignment, and district-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Instructional Design

  • Develop realistic scenarios involving curriculum design, adoption, and instructional planning
  • Create tasks covering lesson development, differentiated instruction, and standards-based teaching
  • Apply frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning and data-driven instruction
  • Evaluate instructional recommendations for quality, practicality, and student appropriateness
  • Produce reference lesson plans, instructional materials, and curriculum documentation

Special Education & Student Support

  • Develop scenarios involving IEPs, 504 plans, accommodations, and specialised student support
  • Create tasks reflecting multi-stakeholder planning among educators, families, specialists, and administrators
  • Evaluate interventions and support strategies for appropriateness and completeness
  • Apply practical knowledge of MTSS, RTI, and related student-support frameworks
  • Produce reference documentation reflecting authentic school-based practice

Assessment & Standards Alignment

  • Create tasks involving formative and summative assessment, standards alignment, and student-performance analysis
  • Evaluate instructional content against relevant state or academic standards
  • Apply standards-based grading and assessment principles where appropriate
  • Develop scenarios involving state assessment systems and school-level performance data
  • Assess whether educational recommendations are appropriately supported by available evidence

School & District Operations

  • Develop scenarios involving school or district policy, budgeting, programme implementation, and operational planning
  • Create tasks reflecting complex decision-making across school and district stakeholders
  • Evaluate proposed initiatives for feasibility, educational impact, and institutional alignment
  • Apply familiarity with platforms such as PowerSchool, Canvas, Google Classroom, and comparable education systems
  • Produce reference administrator-level analyses and communications

Family & Community Engagement

  • Create scenarios involving communication with families, communities, and school stakeholders
  • Evaluate engagement strategies for clarity, appropriateness, and practical effectiveness
  • Develop reference communications for parents, educators, and school leadership
  • Apply professional judgement to sensitive or complex stakeholder situations
  • Assess how family and community considerations affect educational decision-making

AI Evaluation & Rubric Development

  • Design expert-level evaluation tasks across K-12 education workflows
  • Draft reference outputs demonstrating authentic educator and school-leadership judgement
  • Develop rubrics that distinguish professional educational reasoning from generic pedagogical responses
  • Review AI-generated outputs for instructional quality, standards alignment, completeness, and practical relevance
  • Identify subtle reasoning errors, unrealistic recommendations, and missing student or stakeholder considerations
  • Provide clear written rationale supporting evaluation decisions

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of professional experience in K-12 teaching, instructional leadership, school administration, curriculum development, special education, or a closely related field
  • Experience within a public or private school, district office, or state education environment
  • Direct ownership of classroom instruction, curriculum programmes, IEP or special-education caseloads, or school and district initiatives
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, assessment, differentiation, and student support
  • Familiarity with K-12 platforms such as PowerSchool, Canvas, Google Classroom, state assessment systems, or MTSS/RTI tools
  • Practical understanding of school operations, state standards, family engagement, and district-level decision-making
  • Ability to communicate complex educational reasoning clearly and precisely in writing
  • Experience developing curricula, evaluation rubrics, teacher-training materials, or educational documentation is advantageous

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Compensation: $30–$40/hour
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
