About the job Remote | Physician Research Survey Consultant — Up to $125/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced physicians interested in contributing practical occupational insights through a short research survey or structured interview.
This role supports an occupational research initiative focused on improving how physicians' responsibilities, workflows, decisions, and day-to-day activities are documented. Selected professionals will share first-hand insights based on current or recent medical practice through a one-time online survey, with the possibility of additional paid research tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Occupational Research Survey
- Complete a one-time online survey or interview about day-to-day work as a physician
- Describe typical clinical responsibilities, workflows, decisions, and professional activities
- Provide practical examples based on current or recent physician experience
- Help ensure occupational descriptions accurately reflect modern medical practice
Clinical Practice Insights
- Share information about patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, and care coordination
- Describe common clinical environments, tools, systems, and communication practices
- Explain how physicians manage competing priorities, clinical risks, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Provide clear and accurate responses grounded in direct professional experience
Optional Follow-Up Participation
- Participate in an additional survey, task, or short interview if invited
- Clarify earlier responses or provide further detail on specific aspects of physician work
- Complete optional follow-up activities under separately confirmed compensation terms
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all research contributions
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- At least 2 years of professional experience working specifically as a physician
- Current or recent employment in a practising physician role
- Direct responsibility for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making
- Experience working independently and within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong understanding of physicians' day-to-day responsibilities and professional workflows
- Ability to describe clinical work clearly, accurately, and concisely
- Current location in the United States
Educational Background
- An MD, DO, or equivalent recognised medical qualification is required
- Completion of relevant postgraduate medical training, residency, or fellowship is highly relevant
- Active or recent medical practice experience will carry significant weight
- Applicable state licensure, board certification, or specialty credentials may be valuable
Nice to Have
- Experience across hospital, outpatient, specialist, academic, community, or integrated healthcare settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records, clinical documentation, care coordination, and quality procedures
- Experience supervising trainees or contributing to multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Background in medical education, healthcare research, clinical operations, or professional guideline development
- Previous participation in structured interviews, workforce research, or occupational studies

Contract Details
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote and available to physicians based in the United States
- Initial survey or interview expected to take up to 30 minutes
- Compensation calculated proportionally at an equivalent rate of up to $125 per hour
- Optional follow-up surveys, tasks, or interviews may be offered and compensated separately
- Participants must have genuinely worked as physicians
- Medical students or individuals with general clinical exposure alone are not eligible
- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise where applicable
- Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
