We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for graduated Physics PhDs with deep expertise in String Theory, Quantum Field Theory, Particle Physics, or Nuclear Physics.
This role supports a premier collaboration with one of the world's leading AI research laboratories focused on improving advanced large language models through high-quality expert-generated data in complex physics domains.
Selected professionals will help create difficult, high-quality physics problems, apply rigorous subject-matter expertise, and contribute structured work that helps improve the scientific reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

Advanced Physics Problem Creation
Create difficult, high-quality problems in String Theory, Quantum Field Theory, Particle Physics, or Nuclear Physics
Contribute expert-generated data designed to improve the scientific reasoning of advanced language models

Scientific Quality & Instruction Following
Follow complex project instructions with strong attention to detail

Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
PhD in Physics with specialisation in String Theory, Quantum Field Theory, Particle Physics, or Nuclear Physics
Graduate degree received in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Western Europe
High attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent proficiency in English
Ability to follow complex instructions and produce scientifically rigorous work

Ability to communicate complex physical reasoning with clarity and structure

Contract Details
Independent contractor role
Fully remote with flexible scheduling
Compensation range of $70–$90 per hour
Ongoing role with rolling applications
Expected contribution of approximately 4–6 tasks per week, with each task taking several hours
Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance
Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
