We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced aviation maintenance and inspection professionals with deep expertise in FAA-regulated maintenance, aircraft technical documentation, borescope engine inspection, composite structures, and operational procedures to contribute to advanced AI training and technical evaluation initiatives.

Selected professionals will review aviation maintenance materials, evaluate inspection findings, interpret operational documentation, and apply real-world regulatory judgement to ensure technical accuracy and procedural fidelity. No prior AI experience is required; hands-on aviation maintenance and inspection expertise is the primary qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Maintenance Documentation Review

  • Review aircraft maintenance manuals and related technical documentation
  • Analyse illustrated parts catalogues and maintenance references
  • Verify maintenance procedures for technical accuracy and completeness
  • Identify unclear, incomplete, or potentially misleading instructions
  • Apply practical maintenance experience to documentation review

Engine & Composite Inspection

  • Evaluate borescope engine inspection imagery and reports
  • Identify anomalies requiring further inspection or corrective action
  • Review findings against applicable maintenance standards
  • Assess composite structure inspection processes and results
  • Apply professional judgement to inspection acceptance decisions

FAA Regulatory Compliance

  • Cross-reference maintenance tasks against FAA Part 43 requirements
  • Apply relevant requirements from FAA Parts 121, 135, and 145
  • Evaluate maintenance and inspection scenarios for regulatory compliance
  • Identify procedural or documentation gaps affecting compliance
  • Explain applicable regulatory considerations clearly

Flight Operations & Technical Interpretation

  • Interpret approach plates and operational briefing materials
  • Assess navigational and operational information for accuracy
  • Identify inconsistencies affecting safe operational interpretation
  • Apply aviation knowledge across maintenance and flight-operations contexts
  • Provide technically grounded feedback on complex aviation scenarios

Technical Evaluation & Quality Development

  • Produce clear written assessments of maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Explain technical findings and recommendations verbally where required
  • Review aviation-focused datasets for accuracy and realism
  • Contribute subject-matter expertise to evaluation and validation workflows
  • Support consistent quality standards across aviation-related project materials

Ideal Profile

  • 8+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance and inspection experience
  • Strong background in aviation regulatory compliance
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification is strongly preferred
  • Inspection Authorization is highly valued
  • Equivalent Part 145 inspector experience is also relevant
  • Deep expertise in aircraft maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Strong experience with borescope engine inspection
  • Ability to interpret borescope imagery and inspection reports
  • Proficiency in aircraft maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogues
  • Experience reviewing composite structures and inspection findings
  • Strong familiarity with FAA Parts 43, 121, 135, and 145
  • Ability to apply regulations to real-world maintenance situations
  • Experience interpreting approach plates and operational briefing materials
  • Exceptional written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and procedural accuracy
  • Check airman, training, or mentoring experience is advantageous
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

  • Project materials and technical scenarios may vary depending on project requirements
