Remote | Technical Writer / Editor — $90–$140/hour

We are seeking experienced Technical Writers and Editors to contribute their expertise to an advanced AI development project focused on evaluating and improving the quality of model-generated written content. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong technical writing, editing, content evaluation, and critical analysis skills who can assess subtle differences in clarity, tone, reasoning, and instructional value. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Writing Evaluation & Quality Assessment

• Evaluate and compare multiple AI-generated responses to writing prompts, focusing on clarity, tone, helpfulness, coherence, and adherence to instructions.
• Apply expert judgment to identify subtle differences in writing quality, effectiveness, and instructional value.
• Assess whether responses communicate information clearly, naturally, and appropriately for the intended context.
• Identify opportunities to improve the overall quality of written model outputs.

Scoring & Analytical Rationale

• Provide structured quality scores based on defined evaluation criteria.
• Write clear, concise, and well-supported rationales explaining assessment decisions.
• Justify why one response is stronger or weaker than another using precise editorial reasoning.
• Maintain consistency and attention to detail across repeated evaluation tasks.

Editing & Content Review

• Review written content for grammar, structure, tone, clarity, relevance, and usability.
• Identify issues affecting readability, accuracy, coherence, or instructional effectiveness.
• Apply advanced written English skills when evaluating technical and instructional content.
• Document findings thoroughly and accurately within digital review environments.

Independent Work & Virtual Collaboration

• Work independently while managing assigned tasks and deadlines.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to maintain consistency and quality.
• Follow project guidelines and evaluation standards carefully.
• Contribute professional writing and editorial expertise to support high-quality project deliverables.

Ideal Profile

• Native-level English fluency with exceptional written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing, editing, proofreading, content evaluation, or a closely related field.
• Strong ability to assess clarity, tone, coherence, usefulness, and instructional quality.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical judgment, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with digital platforms used for content review, annotation, or evaluation.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in remote environments.
• Experience with AI systems or model evaluation is considered a plus but is not required.
