About the job Remote | Education & School Programs Specialist — $70–$110/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced education professionals with strong expertise in school-based programmes, educational planning, academic operations, and professional education work-product review.
This role focuses on reviewing professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials related to education and school environments. Selected experts will assess outputs for factual accuracy, educational quality, analytical rigour, practical relevance, presentation effectiveness, and overall professional credibility.
Key Responsibilities
Education & School Review
- Evaluate work products involving education, schools, and academic programmes
- Assess whether recommendations reflect sound educational practice and realistic institutional environments
- Identify factual errors, unsupported assumptions, and gaps in educational reasoning
- Review materials for clarity, completeness, and practical usefulness
- Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world education experience
Educational Planning & Programmes
- Review education plans, programme materials, and implementation recommendations
- Assess objectives, activities, timelines, resources, and expected outcomes
- Evaluate whether proposed approaches are appropriate for the intended educational context
- Identify inconsistencies between programme goals and implementation plans
- Review recommendations for operational and educational feasibility
Teaching & Learning Materials
- Evaluate instructional or academic materials where relevant
- Assess clarity, appropriateness, organisation, and educational usefulness
- Identify content that is inaccurate, confusing, incomplete, or poorly structured
- Review alignment between stated learning objectives and supporting materials
- Evaluate whether information is presented at an appropriate level for the intended audience
School & Academic Operations
- Review scenarios involving school administration and academic operations
- Assess workflows, schedules, resource considerations, and stakeholder coordination
- Evaluate operational recommendations for practicality and consistency
- Identify missing dependencies or unrealistic assumptions
- Review how educational priorities are translated into day-to-day implementation
Student & Stakeholder Communications
- Evaluate materials intended for students, families, educators, administrators, or other stakeholders
- Assess tone, clarity, accessibility, and audience suitability
- Identify incomplete or potentially confusing communication
- Review whether key information and recommendations are conveyed effectively
- Evaluate consistency across different communication formats
Data & Spreadsheet Review
- Evaluate spreadsheets and analyses supporting educational decisions
- Review calculations, assumptions, metrics, and supporting data for consistency
- Assess whether quantitative information supports the stated conclusions
- Identify discrepancies between underlying data and reported findings
- Evaluate the clarity and usefulness of educational reporting materials
Documents & Presentation Review
- Evaluate reports, educational documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks for accuracy and completeness
- Review presentations for logical flow, clarity, and professional quality
- Identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and formatting issues
- Assess whether charts, tables, and visual materials accurately represent underlying information
- Ensure conclusions and recommendations are clearly communicated
Structured Evaluation & Feedback
- Assess assigned outputs against domain-specific quality criteria
- Identify educational, factual, analytical, and presentation weaknesses
- Distinguish substantive domain issues from minor editorial concerns
- Provide clear, structured written feedback explaining identified strengths and weaknesses
- Apply evaluation standards consistently across different education-related work products
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in education, school administration, academic programmes, instructional design, curriculum development, educational services, or a closely related field
- Strong practical understanding of school or education-sector workflows
- Experience developing or reviewing educational plans, programmes, reports, instructional materials, or stakeholder communications
- Ability to assess educational content for accuracy, clarity, practicality, and professional quality
- Strong analytical judgement and attention to detail
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides
- Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
- Native or professional fluency in English
- Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback
- Master's degree or higher from a recognised institution is advantageous

- Part-time independent contractor engagement

- Compensation: $70–$110/hour
- Work includes evaluation of education and school-related documents, spreadsheets, reports, and presentation materials
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, school, client, institution, or other third party
