We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for business professionals, management experts, and academic researchers with advanced expertise in strategy, operations, supply chain, product management, sustainability, or digital marketing.

This role supports an AI research initiative focused on developing rigorous benchmarks across business and commerce. Selected experts will author or verify challenging multiple-choice assessment content, evaluate analytical accuracy and reasoning quality, develop well-supported reference solutions, and help establish high-quality evaluation standards for advanced AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Business Question Authoring

  • Create original multiple-choice questions that test deep business understanding rather than surface-level recall
  • Develop challenging problems within relevant areas of business and management expertise
  • Ensure questions are self-contained, precise, unambiguous, and independently solvable
  • Design questions appropriate for undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, and postgraduate difficulty levels
  • Produce one correct answer alongside nine plausible and carefully constructed distractors

Question Verification & Academic Review

  • Review pre-written business questions for accuracy, clarity, rigour, and completeness
  • Identify flawed assumptions, ambiguity, analytical errors, or solvability issues
  • Edit questions and answer choices where required
  • Verify that designated correct answers are supported by appropriate business theory, quantitative reasoning, or professional practice
  • Document substantive changes and explain the reasoning behind them

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Develop assessment content involving logistics, procurement, inventory, distribution, and supply chain management
  • Create problems addressing network design, capacity, sourcing, forecasting, and operational trade-offs
  • Evaluate supply chain performance, resilience, efficiency, and risk
  • Apply quantitative and strategic reasoning to logistics scenarios
  • Design questions reflecting realistic operational decision-making

Operations Research & Management Analysis

  • Develop problems involving optimisation, decision analysis, resource allocation, and operational modelling
  • Apply quantitative methods to complex business scenarios
  • Evaluate assumptions, constraints, and trade-offs within operations models
  • Create assessment content involving management analysis and organisational performance
  • Distinguish analytically sound approaches from plausible but flawed alternatives

Product Management & Strategy

  • Develop questions involving product strategy, market positioning, prioritisation, and lifecycle management
  • Evaluate product decisions using customer, competitive, financial, and operational considerations
  • Create problems involving roadmap development, market entry, pricing, and growth
  • Apply strategic frameworks to complex product and business decisions
  • Assess trade-offs between customer value, commercial objectives, and execution constraints

Sustainability & Business Performance

  • Develop assessment content involving corporate sustainability and responsible business strategy
  • Evaluate operational, financial, and strategic implications of sustainability initiatives
  • Create problems involving resource efficiency, environmental performance, and organisational decision-making
  • Apply appropriate business frameworks to sustainability-related scenarios
  • Assess trade-offs between commercial performance and long-term strategic objectives

Digital Marketing & Commercial Strategy

  • Develop rigorous questions involving digital marketing strategy, customer acquisition, segmentation, and campaign performance
  • Evaluate marketing metrics, channel strategy, positioning, and conversion performance
  • Create problems requiring interpretation of customer or campaign data
  • Apply quantitative and strategic reasoning to digital marketing decisions
  • Assess whether marketing recommendations are supported by available evidence

Academic Research & Benchmark Quality

  • Provide 1–5 academic references per question where required
  • Use reputable sources such as peer-reviewed journals, academic publications, and university repositories
  • Develop clear, structured solution explanations supporting the correct answer
  • Rate question difficulty according to defined Medium, Hard, and Expert standards
  • Help maintain consistent analytical and academic quality across benchmark content
  • Contribute to gold-standard evaluation materials used to assess advanced AI capabilities

Ideal Profile

  • PhD, DBA, or current doctoral candidacy in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline
  • MBA or other Master's degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise in a relevant subdomain
  • Strong command of graduate-level business strategy, organisational theory, and quantitative methods
  • Expertise in one or more areas including Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Sustainability, Management Analysis, Product Management, Business Strategy, or Digital Marketing
  • Strong ability to analyse complex business scenarios and evaluate competing strategic approaches
  • Excellent written English and ability to communicate sophisticated business concepts clearly and precisely
  • Academic research publications are highly valued
  • Senior industry experience in business, operations, product, strategy, supply chain, or marketing is advantageous
  • University-level teaching, examination development, or academic assessment experience is highly valued
  • Strong attention to analytical precision, commercial realism, and evidence quality

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote and asynchronous
  • Expected availability of at least 10 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling based on project requirements
  • Compensation: $65–$90/hour
  • Contributors may be assigned either question-authoring or question-verification workstreams
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
  • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
