About the job Remote | Product Marketing Manager — $50–$90/hour
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced product marketing professionals with hands-on expertise in positioning, product launches, enablement, adoption analysis, competitive strategy, and win/loss research.
This role focuses on designing and evaluating realistic product marketing environments that reflect the tools, data, workflows, and judgement calls encountered in professional marketing organisations. Selected experts will create authentic scenarios, define expected outcomes, review completed work, and establish standards that distinguish strong product marketing judgement from plausible but ineffective approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Product Marketing Scenario Design

- Assess whether launch plans appropriately reflect market and customer considerations
- Identify readiness gaps or execution risks
- Review recommendations for practical launch effectiveness
Sales & Go-to-Market Enablement
- Evaluate enablement materials and go-to-market support
- Review whether messaging, positioning, and supporting information equip commercial teams effectively
- Assess alignment between product marketing, sales, and broader go-to-market objectives
- Identify gaps in enablement strategy or execution
- Evaluate recommendations for improving market-facing readiness
Win/Loss Analysis
- Develop and review scenarios involving win/loss research
- Analyse customer feedback, sales information, competitive dynamics, and deal outcomes
- Assess whether conclusions are supported by available evidence
- Identify recurring patterns, positioning weaknesses, or competitive issues
- Evaluate recommendations based on win/loss findings
Adoption & Product Performance
- Review product adoption and behavioural data
- Assess usage patterns, customer engagement, and potential barriers to adoption
- Evaluate whether proposed actions are supported by available product analytics
- Identify misleading interpretations or overlooked signals

- Identify unsupported assumptions or overreactions to competitive developments
- Apply practical judgement to competitive response decisions
Marketing Systems & Data
- Work with simulated environments containing realistic email, storage, CRM, project management, social media management, web analytics, SEO/AEO, advertising, CMS, product analytics, and customer-support information
- Specify the documents, dashboards, personas, and tool states required for authentic product marketing scenarios
- Reconcile information across multiple systems and sources
- Evaluate whether recommendations appropriately reflect available customer, product, and commercial data
- Identify missed dependencies, inconsistencies, or workflow failures
CRM, Product Analytics & Project Management
- Work with workflows modelled on a CRM such as Salesforce
- Review product analytics from platforms such as Amplitude
- Work with project-management tools such as Asana, Linear, or equivalent platforms

- Provide clear written reasoning supporting evaluation decisions
Ideal Profile
- Hands-on professional experience in product marketing

- Comfortable working with a CRM such as Salesforce
- Experience interpreting product analytics through platforms such as Amplitude
- Comfortable using project-management tools such as Asana, Linear, or equivalent platforms
