  • Describe clinical images using precise medical attributes, including lesion colour, shape, morphology, distribution, and other diagnostically relevant characteristics
  • Assess skin health, condition severity, and potential progression based on visual information
  • Evaluate whether AI-generated dermatological assessments are clinically reasonable and consistent with established standards of care
  • Apply senior-level clinical judgement when distinguishing between similar or potentially ambiguous dermatological presentations

Clinical Evaluation & AI Quality Review

  • Review AI-generated classifications, descriptions, or assessments of dermatological images
  • Identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or clinically important omissions within model-generated outputs
  • Explain the medical reasoning behind corrections and preferred interpretations
  • Assess whether outputs meet appropriate standards for clinical accuracy, relevance, and completeness
  • Provide expert feedback that can improve AI understanding of dermatological presentations and image-based medical reasoning

Medical Guidelines & Quality Standards

  • Develop clear guidelines and evaluation criteria defining high-quality dermatological image assessment
  • Establish clinically meaningful standards for describing and classifying skin findings
  • Support consistent interpretation of morphology, lesion characteristics, severity, and other relevant clinical features
  • Translate specialist dermatological knowledge into structured guidance that can be applied across research workflows
  • Help ensure research outputs remain aligned with evidence-based dermatological practice

Clinical Expertise & Research Contribution

  • Contribute specialist insight to projects involving dermatology, clinical image interpretation, and medical AI evaluation
  • Apply professional judgement developed through substantial post-residency dermatology experience
  • Provide clear explanations using accurate and appropriate medical terminology
  • Support the development of safe, accurate, and clinically grounded AI systems
  • Maintain clear boundaries around confidential, proprietary, or patient-identifiable information
