About the job Remote | Finance & Insurance Evaluation Consultant — $65–$80/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced US finance, investment, advisory, banking, brokerage, and insurance professionals to evaluate realistic professional work products within their own field.

This role focuses on reviewing completed AI-generated work rather than producing or recreating the underlying deliverables. Selected professionals will assess whether tasks reflect genuine financial-services practice, whether calculations, regulations, assumptions, and professional standards are accurate, and whether existing grading and quality scores are justified.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Work Product Review

  • Review completed work products representing realistic finance, investment, advisory, banking, brokerage, or insurance tasks
  • Examine task instructions, supporting files, completed deliverables, and evaluation results
  • Determine whether outputs reflect authentic professional workflows
  • Identify substantive financial, regulatory, analytical, or operational issues
  • Assess whether completed work would be usable or acceptable in a real professional environment

Task Realism Assessment

  • Evaluate whether assignments accurately represent work performed in your profession
  • Assess whether task descriptions, constraints, figures, and expected deliverables are realistic
  • Distinguish authentic financial-services scenarios from borderline or contrived tasks
  • Consider relevant US market, regulatory, suitability, and insurance requirements
  • Provide concise explanations supporting each judgement

Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Review financial models, forecasts, budgets, valuation work, and analytical outputs where relevant
  • Assess whether calculations, assumptions, and methodologies are internally consistent
  • Identify modelling errors, unsupported assumptions, or misleading conclusions
  • Evaluate whether outputs provide a credible basis for real business or investment decisions
  • Verify figures and reconciliations using supporting spreadsheets and documents

Corporate Finance & FP&A

  • Assess budgets, forecasts, close-related documentation, treasury work, and financial-management outputs
  • Review whether financial assumptions and reporting logic reflect real operating practice
  • Identify inconsistencies across financial statements, management reports, or planning materials
  • Evaluate whether recommendations and analyses are commercially credible
  • Apply hands-on judgement from finance leadership and planning environments

Investment & Securities Review

  • Review investment analyses, portfolio-related work, securities documentation, and financial recommendations
  • Evaluate modelling, investment reasoning, suitability considerations, and supporting evidence
  • Assess whether outputs align with applicable SEC and FINRA requirements where relevant
  • Identify unrealistic or unsupported investment conclusions
  • Apply practitioner judgement from brokerage, trading, investment analysis, or advisory work

Financial Advice & Client Suitability

  • Review personal financial planning and advisory scenarios
  • Assess whether recommendations appropriately reflect client circumstances and objectives
  • Evaluate suitability considerations and supporting documentation
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or potentially misleading advice
  • Apply practical experience from direct client advisory relationships

Banking & Insurance Operations

  • Review account-servicing, claims, policy-change, and customer-service scenarios
  • Assess whether processes and documentation reflect real banking, brokerage, or insurance operations
  • Identify issues involving account handling, insurance procedures, or client communications
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant operational and regulatory expectations
  • Apply practical judgement from frontline financial-services environments

Regulatory & Compliance Review

  • Assess whether professional work reflects relevant SEC, FINRA, and US state insurance requirements
  • Identify incorrect, incomplete, or unrealistic regulatory assumptions
  • Review suitability, documentation, disclosure, and compliance considerations where applicable
  • Assess whether work would withstand internal compliance review, audit, or regulatory examination
  • Flag subtle issues that may not be apparent to non-practitioners

Grading & Evaluation Review

  • Review existing yes/no grading decisions against completed work
  • Assess issues such as requirement compliance, fabricated figures, terminology, regulatory accuracy, and formatting
  • Identify grading decisions that are unsupported by the underlying evidence
  • Explain clearly where and why you agree or disagree with an evaluation
  • Apply consistent professional standards across reviewed assignments

Quality & Score Assessment

  • Independently assess the overall quality of each work product
  • Determine whether an experienced practitioner could realistically use or accept the output
  • Assign an appropriate quality band based on professional standards
  • Compare your judgement with the reported evaluation score
  • Identify cases where scoring does not accurately reflect the quality of the work
