We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Manufacturing Specialists with strong expertise in CAM, CNC machining, digital manufacturing, Fusion 360, and process evaluation to contribute to an advanced AI training and manufacturing-evaluation project.
Selected professionals will evaluate manufacturing workflows, review AI-generated technical content, and develop evaluation rubrics focused on CAM, CNC, and Fusion 360. The work requires strong practical manufacturing judgement and the ability to assess technical accuracy, efficiency, and real-world feasibility. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing, CAM & CNC Evaluation
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, CAM workflows, and CNC machining strategies
- Assess setups, machining sequences, tooling, and process-planning decisions
- Identify inefficient, impractical, or technically unsound approaches
- Apply practical shop-floor judgement to realistic production scenarios
- Recommend improvements to manufacturability, quality, and process efficiency
Fusion 360 & AI Output Review
- Evaluate Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM setups and digital manufacturing workflows
- Assess AI-generated manufacturing recommendations for accuracy, practicality, and completeness
- Identify flawed assumptions, workflow issues, and weak technical reasoning
- Compare proposed processes against professional manufacturing practices
- Provide detailed expert feedback supporting model improvement
Rubric Development & Technical Quality
- Develop evaluation rubrics covering process accuracy, technical quality, and efficiency
- Translate manufacturing expertise into clear and repeatable assessment criteria
- Validate evaluation standards against realistic CAM and CNC practices
- Document technical findings and process trade-offs clearly
- Refine evaluation frameworks as project requirements evolve
Ideal Profile
- Proven expertise in manufacturing processes and digital fabrication
- Strong experience with CAM and CNC machining
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360
- Strong understanding of computer-aided manufacturing workflows
- Practical knowledge of machining strategy, setup, tooling, and process planning
- Ability to evaluate technical workflows for accuracy and efficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing or applying process-evaluation rubrics is highly valuable
- Comfortable working independently within a remote project environment
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
Engagement Details
