Emergency Medicine Physician

Clinical/Admin Split: 85% Clinical | 15% Administrative

Position Overview

We're hiring an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to lead emergency and trauma services. This is a full-time leadership opportunity for a dynamic physician passionate about patient care and driving clinical excellence in a rural, high-impact setting.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified, have experience in emergency medicine, and be comfortable with balancing direct patient care and administrative oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead physician for emergency and trauma services.

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department.

• Oversee clinical workflows, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement.

• Collaborate with nursing, hospital leadership, and medical staff to enhance ED performance.

• Participate in strategic planning and departmental operations.

• Mentor and support other ED providers.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Full-time position

• Approximately 1214 shifts/month

• 12-hour shifts

• Role includes 15% administrative and 85% clinical responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO)

• Valid Medical License in the state of Minnesota (MN)

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine

• Minimum 1 year of experience in any of the following:

  • Emergency Department (ED)

  • Internal Medicine

  • Family Medicine with Emergency Care

  • Meditech EDM (Emergency Care)

Preferred

• ABEM Certification

• Prior leadership or administrative experience in emergency medicine
