Job Summary:

The non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of its kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared to high-quality standards, and that all safety and sanitation regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and service
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the organization's nutritional guidelines
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure that all safety and sanitation regulations are followed
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and clients
  • Manage budgets and maintain financial records


  • At least 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safety practices
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation
