Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our reputable Engineering Consultancy Firm based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our structural engineering department, contributing to the design, analysis, and implementation of various projects. As a Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Structural Design and Analysis:
- Conduct structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and tools.
- Develop innovative and sustainable structural solutions for various projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans and schedules.
- Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform quality checks and reviews of structural designs and drawings.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
- Professional Development and Collaboration:
- Maintain professional credentials, including HKIE (Hong Kong Institution of Engineers), MICE (Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers), and MIStructE (Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers).
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in structural engineering.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with internal teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional credentials: HKIE and MICE.
- Additional professional membership as MIStructE is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in an engineering consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
