We are seeking a hands-on Engineer to join a 126 ft M/Y based in Seattle. Built in 1999 and refit in 2013, the yacht operates a private program with a busy summer season and a slower winter schedule.

The vessel is over 300 GT but is privately operated, non-classed, and does not charter. No license or certifications are required for this position.

The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys maintaining and operating the vessel and is comfortable getting involved with all aspects of the engineering department.

Position

  • Salary: $8,000 to $9,000/month
  • Start: Late September / early October
  • Handover with the current Engineer
  • Looking for a hands-on, practical Engineer
  • Previous Engineer was onboard for approximately 3 years
  • Captain served as both Captain/Engineer during the first two years and has an excellent understanding of the vessel

Living Arrangements

  • When the yacht is in Seattle, the Engineer will have a private room at the crew's  house
  • When traveling with the yacht, accommodation will be private aboard the enclosed tender

The ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy the Pacific Northwest and colder weather, particularly Seattle's seasonal climate.
