1. Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified Lead Marine HVAC Installer to support the installation and commissioning of advanced direct expansion (DX) air conditioning systems aboard luxury yachts and refit projects. This full-time role is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with regular travel to domestic and international shipyards. The position offers hands-on technical leadership within a company recognized for innovation, engineering excellence, and energy-efficient marine HVAC technology.

The Lead Installer will combine practical field expertise with leadership and customer-facing professionalism, ensuring every installation meets the hallmark of exceptional capability and precision.

2. Core Responsibilities

· Oversee and execute the installation and commissioning of marine HVAC systems in refit and new-build environments.

· Work independently or as part of a small team depending on project demand and scope.

· Supervise, train, and support technicians or subcontractors to ensure proper mechanical, electrical, and control system integration.

· Conduct system verification, testing, and parameter optimization prior to client delivery.

· Interface directly with yacht owners, captains, and crew during commissioning and hand-over, maintaining professional and discreet communication.

· Collaborate with the engineering department to provide design and field performance feedback.

· Assist with post-installation diagnostics and service calls as needed.

3. Ideal Candidate Profile

· Strong background in marine installations and HVAC systems, including hands-on experience in refrigeration, electrical integration, and system commissioning.

· Marine experience is essential; familiarity with yacht operations, shipyard procedures, and working in high-profile environments is critical.

· Degree or certification in Marine Engineering, HVAC Technology, or Mechanical Systems (maritime academy graduates strongly encouraged to apply).

· Licensed professionals preferred, but highly experienced field technicians with proven marine track records will also be considered.

· Capable of interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.

· EPA 608 certification and R410A experience preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

· Must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

4. Compensation and Career Path

· Salary Range: $80,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and credentials.
