Construction Management Team

Job Location: Monterey

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8 hours

Position Overview and Key Responsibilities:

4Creeks is seeking an Associate Construction Manager to work under the direction of our Construction Manager on the Municipal Construction Management team. This position will be primarily office work. Responsibilities for this position would include:

  • Inspect construction activities for various types projects (Public Works/Private/Utility)
  • Coordinate with contractors
  • Coordinate with client(s)
  • Submittal/RFI reviews
  • Change order review
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Coordinate with any sub-consultants (if necessary)
  • Responsible for quantity tracking for progress payments
  • Attending pre-construction, weekly & coordination meetings regularly
  • Evaluating plans and specifications for construction projects to ensure construction compliance
  • Conducting field inspections to confirm project conformance to project standards & construction documents
  • Coordinating field and laboratory tests on materials to measure compliance with regulations
  • Completing daily inspector project reports
  • Daily quantity tracking for monthly progress payments, coordination with the contractor on quantities
  • Extra work tracking for work not in the original contract
  • Maintaining project field records, materials tickets, as-builts
  • Communicating with internal and client project managers
  • Coordination with contractors

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years experience as a public works construction inspector
  2. Valid driver's license and ability to drive to job sites throughout California
  3. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  4. Construction Management experience is preferred but not required
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is required.
  6. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in preparation of plans, ability to read construction plans and related documents, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and understanding of construction processes.

Compensation

The salary will be determined by the candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually.
