Job Requirements
Responsibilities
- Creation, review and delivery of ADAS system specifications
- Coordination of technical specifications of suppliers and progress management
- Adjustment of test specifications, progress management, and result analysis
- Proactive process improvement planning and progress management for part product drawings and layout work
- Adjustment of system specifications and progress management until specifications are finalized
- Software update process work and progress management
Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status*
Japanese Native or JLPT N2 or above
Must-Haves
- 6+ years of experience in the automotive industry (OEM/Tier 1 preferred)
- Overall project supervision
- Development of ADAS systems for new generation models
- ADAS system requirements analysis and specification definition (e.g. ACC, AEB, AHB, LDW, UPA, BSD, RCTA, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and communication networks
- Experience in implementing DRBFM, FTA, FMEA, etc.
- Good understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and certification requirements such as R10, R79, R89, R13H, GSR etc.
- Quality issue analysis, discussion and status reporting
- Communication with related departments and Tier 1 suppliers for technical discussion and coordination
- Problem solving through cross-departmental communication and cross-cultural teamwork
- Smooth communication with engineers both inside and outside the company
- Project Management Support
- Experience in collaboration with Japanese OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive field
- Japanese language ability - Native level or JLPT N2 or above
The ideal candidate for this role will be anyone below 35 years of experience. Candidates above this experience level will be rejected.
Good to Have
- Experience communicating with foreigners
- Detailed understanding of automotive safety regulations (Euro NCAP, ASEAN NCAP, IIHC, Global NCAP, Japan NCAP, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, etc.
- Basic understanding of the following topics (two or more)
- Functional components required for ADAS
- System architecture and component diagram of ADAS components
- Vehicle communication and diagnostic protocols (CAN/LIN/DTC etc.)
- Experience using electrical circuit diagrams/harness CAD
- Test tools (ETAS/VECTOR/Lauterbach, etc.)
