Overview / Job Responsibilities

As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist, supporting the newest of the six Department of Defense Regional Centers, you will be trusted to serve as the point of contact for all IT and audio-video (A-V) issues, coordinating with civilian and other Department of Defense organizations/personnel in the establishment of the Center's IT and A-V infrastructure.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Include

  • Coordinating with Government IT to ensure the TSC is compliant with DoD regulations, and provide team support as required or requested.
  • Establishing and utilizing IT and A-V to support program activities to include virtual distance learning programs via various media as required.
  • Assisting faculty and staff with understanding how to use various platforms to conduct distance learning programs.
  • Providing advice on and establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance of IT and A-V systems, to include Asset Management.
  • Providing advice on, and assisting in establishing SOPs to maintain the TSC's website.
  • Providing advice on necessary hardware, software, licenses, Wi-Fi access points, etc. necessary for the TSC to execute its programs, principally in coordination with the Media and Communications Specialist and Associate Director for Support.
  • In coordination other staff, principally the Budget Analyst, assisting in the development of annual requirements to maintain and/or upgrade IT and A-V equipment, licenses, and such.

Key Responsibility: Serves as the TSC point of contact for all IT and A-V issues.

What Youll Need

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in a computer- related field and/or systems/software development certification.

Experience managing distance learning programs for a think tank, college or university, or DoD regional center.

A minimum two (2) years experience working in U.S. Government computer systems and in web development, knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) web policy and regulations.

Minimum DoD cyber security certifications.
