Job Purpose

The jobholder will be responsible for generating new accounts and maintaining, increasing and managing existing client accounts. Jobholder will be responsible to oversee all proactive customer development tasks and ensure consistent high-level service throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day sales activities to achieve sales targets through profitable business relationships.
  • Identifies, qualifies, and solicits proactively new business and manage other active accounts to achieve individual revenue goals in line with businesss budgetary objectives.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Prepares accurate proposals, contracts, quotations and other documents related to sales activities.
  • Provides ongoing support to clients by communicating and conducting visits to ensure relationships are maintained.
  • Positively affects the customer satisfaction level through effective daily interactions (e.g., prospecting / solicitation, following up calls, entertainment, face-to-face activities, shows, etc.)
  • Ensures feedback is managed and promotes the customer satisfaction survey to improve service delivery.
  • Communicates accurately with supporting departments to ensure effective execution of client requirements.
  • Conduct market research, evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations.
  • Develops individual business cases for each identified sales opportunity so that a professional approach is carried out for all.
  • Assist in preparing accurate sales plans and sales forecasts.

Skills and Experience

Education Qualification:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant field

Work Experience:

  • 6 years sales/Retail/HORECA experience

Skills:

  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by clients and co-workers;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Use clear verbal & written communication in all aspects of work;
  • Proficient with numbers and financial analysis and proven ability to meet budget targets;
  • Proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally and work cross functionally involving with supporting departments;
  • Experience in costing, product development, and management with a proven record in delivering creative food solutions;
  • High standards of professional conduct with excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Result oriented individual who drives and takes ownership for results
  • Attention to detail, ability to plan, multitask and work to strict time constraints
  • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Power Point and MS Word;
  • Shares best practice openly and encourages open communication to create a work environment that promotes the continuous improvement of technical and behavioural competencies;
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and ability to delegate tasks efficiently;
  • Actively practice and promote good time management and organisation skills;
  • Maintain highest standards of personal appearance and grooming;
