Project Engineer - Roads

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Project Engineer - Roads to lead engineering delivery of road, intersection and access works around existing transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop roadwork staging, temporary traffic arrangements and construction methodologies
• Coordinate earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavement, kerb, barrier, lighting, signage and line-marking interfaces
• Lead design reviews, RFIs, survey and pavement-quality planning
• Manage subcontract procurement, cost, quantities, production and program recovery
• Coordinate road-opening readiness, inspections, testing, defects and authority acceptance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in civil, construction or transport engineering
• 5-8 years' contractor experience delivering roads, pavements, drainage and traffic-staged works
• Current construction induction card and valid driver's licence
• Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies
• Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs, subcontractor coordination and progress measurement

Australian experience is required.
