About the Role
The Associate DLT Analyst will work within the Digital Innovation and Architecture function under the supervision of the Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Lead. The role focuses on assessing the business value of DLT initiatives, gathering and synthesizing inputs from multiple business units, and translating requirements into viable technical options and pilot plans.
The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners and includes maintaining blockchain and DLT-related resources within the organizations Digital Innovation Sandbox. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities
1. Internal Business Requirements Coordination
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops across relevant units (e.g., Treasury, IT, Risk, Legal, Operations) to identify pain points, opportunities, and success metrics
- Develop as-is / to-be process maps, define KPIs, and conduct gap analyses across related initiatives
- Prepare high-level cost–benefit analyses and delivery options (buy / build / partner) for proposed pilots
- Support the preparation of project documentation, concept notes, and implementation roadmaps
2. External Engagement Coordination
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions involving internal stakeholders, technology vendors, and public-sector or regulatory counterparts
- Capture functional and non-functional requirements, with emphasis on blockchain use cases in transaction processing and financial settlement
- Address key considerations such as transaction finality, liquidity impacts, throughput and latency targets, resiliency and disaster recovery, interoperability with existing payment or messaging systems, auditability, and supervisory requirements
3. Technical Options and Pilot Planning
- Collaborate with the Blockchain and DLT Lead to assess the suitability of DLT architectures and implementation approaches for proposed pilots
- Support the development and refinement of a roadmap for blockchain and DLT innovation initiatives
- Assist in maintaining DLT and blockchain tools, documentation, and environments within the Digital Innovation Sandbox
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on experience with blockchain or DLT technologies
- Experience in business analysis, product management, or solution design roles within financial services, market infrastructure providers, or related industries is preferred
Business Analysis Skills
- Strong experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions
- Proficient in process mapping, requirements documentation, technical analysis, and cost–benefit assessment
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of common blockchain and DLT platforms and architectures
- Familiarity with banking systems, financial messaging standards (e.g., ISO 20022), key management, and digital asset custody
- Knowledge of advanced concepts such as cryptography is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with international financial regulations and frameworks (e.g., Basel standards) related to post-trade processing and digital assets is desirable
