Job Mandate
Accountable for end-to-end build delivery of the Deposits Management System (DMS) under the Deposits Modernization Program, one of the Banks largest and most critical product transformation initiatives.
The role leads large, vendor-led build teams responsible for core banking configuration, extensions and quality of delivery across CASA and Time Deposit products.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides senior delivery leadership for all build streams including leading multi-functional build teams comprising vendor resources and bank teams, ensuring clear accountability and delivery discipline.
- Works and collaborates with stakeholders and end users to plan and configure systems, to develop solutions that will achieve needed objectives
- Aligns with the overall Project Lead on the overall business outcomes for each deliverable and delivery timelines.
- Tracks and reports project implementation progress and budgets to the Project management and/or IT Delivery management per the agreed frequency.
- Identifies and logs project issues; Oversees the resolution process and escalates issues when necessary.
- Manages, when necessary, re scopes the projects and updates project plans accordingly.
- Manages Build stream closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned/case studies are developed
- Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/suppliers for supporting selected projects.
- Responsible for the detailed planning activities and creation of schedule for the assigned areas of delivery. Where multiple delivery managers and project managers are involved, ensure alignment
- Work with the technical delivery team, solution architects, vendors teams and ITIO teams to identify, document and manage all issues and risk that will affect the scope, time, cost and quality of the delivery
- Partners closely with solution architects to ensure build activities align with target-state core banking architecture and design principles
- Responsible for vendors that are directly involved in providing the services for the delivery scope. Where vendors do additional scope, align with the respective delivery managers and/or project managers
- Ensure clear and comprehensive understanding of the technical delivery scope, how that maps to the business requirements and ensure that baseline and changes are always maintained and aligned
- Manages all delivery dependency that are external to the managed scope and ensure day-to-day tracking of these dependencies and manage any impact of changes in dependencies
- Understands the resource estimation model and the competency of people. Develop the right estimates on capacity needs, on-board and off-boarding timing and any performance issues or unforeseen contention for resources
- Ensure the delivery modules have a well-defined test strategy, test plan and schedule. Manage all activities for testing from Unit, system, integration, migration, NFR. Support the UAT testing
- Align with the application owners and platform owners on the deployment schedules and approach and ensure all operational readiness is met prior to cut-over
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Masters degree in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred
Work Experience
- 8-10 years of relevant delivery or project management experience in banking or financial services.
- Demonstrated leadership capability managing large, complex, multi-functional build teams.
- Direct experience in core banking and deposits modernization programs, with at least the last 2–3 engagements in this area
- Regional (APAC) delivery experience favorable
- Hands-on experience with TCS, Finacle, or Fiserv platforms (at least two required)
- Ability to operate independently with limited supervision in a transformation setting
- Prior consulting background is an advantage but not mandatory.

- Continuous Improvement: Service Delivery Managers should have a mindset of continuous improvement. They should proactively identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and drive efficiency in service delivery.
- Technical Knowledge: good understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, emerging technologies, service delivery landscape and effectively communicate with technical teams.
