Job Mandate

Responsible for leading and managing the planning and delivery of  projects. This role ensures that projects are executed effectively, aligned with strategic objectives, and delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with business units and technology teams to define project scope, timelines and project objectives

Form, lead and coordinate project teams (cross-functional: Business, Technical, Operations, Legal, Procurement, etc.)

Manage all activities in the project lifecycle (initiation; planning; execution; monitoring and controlling; and closing) across one or more lines of business

Consult with business partners and all stakeholders to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a statement of work

Prepare project charter, business case and obtain approval for funding

Identify and monitor work plan and all tasks needed to achieve project goal

Implement control and reporting structures for project monitoring regarding risk and change management based on defined governance methods and standard processes

Conducts post-mortem and project closure reviews, CSAT surveys and project teams performance appraisals

Create and deliver presentation to top management on project goals and plans, including progress reports

Oversee sourcing and management of vendors

Ensure compliance of infrastructure and applications with IT standards, policies and guidelines, as well as other financial governing bodies (e.g., Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, AMLA Council, etc.)

Define and monitor all project key constraints

Manage project issues and risks

Conduct status reviews with project teams, account managers and customers on a regular basis

Develop and implement project communication plans

Develop and implement project level processes, procedures and performance metrics

Maintain a harmonious working relationship with all project team members, partners and stakeholders

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education

Bachelors degree relevant to the job

Work Experience

At least 7-12 years project management experience

Manages all types of projects ranging from low-level to high-level complexities

Banking industry experience is preferred but not required

Experience in managing multiple projects in parallel

Prior experience working for a Big4, Systems Integrator, management consulting or internal consulting role in a financial institution is highly advantageous

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of project management practices and concepts; PMP or Prince 2 Certification is preferred but not required

Agile/SCRUM/ITIL trained/certified is preferred but not required

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Expert knowledge in cost management, budgeting and forecasting; creating business case, contracts

Domain Experience / Knowledge

Demonstrated experience delivering projects in at least one of the following areas:

Private Banking & Wealth Management: Client lifecycle management, advisory platforms, portfolio management, risk profiling, KYC/AML and regulatory compliance tools

Trusts and Asset Management: Fund Operations, client reporting, portfolio management, compliance and risk tools

Securities Trading and Treasury: Front to back trading workflows, core systems integration, risk and regulatory projects

Additional Knowledge:

Familiarity with financial platforms such as Avaloq, Temenos, Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg or equivalent systems is a plus

Knowledge of financial products (e.g., UITFs/Mutual Funds, FX, Bonds, Securities)
