Qualifications:

Non-Negotiable Skills:

- 5-7 years hands on experience delivering IT solutions, preferably in banking/financial institutions.

- Experience handling complex projects involving financial applications.

- Hands on experience delivering Web/Mobile/Website Build projects (UI/UX, SaaS/PaaS, CMS, AEM, Data Asset Mgmt, Analytics, SEO).

- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).

- Strong knowledge of design patterns, coding standards, development best practices.

- Deep understanding of system performance, memory management, monitoring, fault tolerance, database interaction, and security.

- Knowledge and experience managing projects using SDLC; familiar with Agile/Scrum/Kanban.

- Ability to lead delivery teams (Developers, SAs, Testers) and oversee technical deliverables.

- Strong issue identification, escalation, and resolution management.

- Experience managing vendors (contracting, coordination, delivery oversight).

- Ability to communicate and simplify complex technical issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Negotiable Skills:

- Good to have tokenization or digital payments/banking apps background or knowledge

- Agile/Scrum/ITIL certifications/ PMP or PRINCE2 certification.

- Broader knowledge of enterprise and cloud tech development/deployment.

- System development background that supports collaboration with Solutions Architects and Platform Owners.

- Ability to train new delivery managers on delivery processes.

- Ability to contribute to internal best practices, knowledge base, and process improvements.

Job Mandate

  • Develop project plan, scope, estimates; Manage the implementation of IT Projects ensuring on-time and within budget delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance with solution architecture.
  • Align across other delivery managers and report to the BTS project manager(s) in context of the project.
  • Experienced in handling complex projects on financial applications is highly-preferred.
  • Experienced in PMI / PRINCE2 PM framework and/or Agile, Scrum, or Kanban Methodology (2 years minimum).

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in prioritization of IT projects as part of the business planning/ demand planning cycle for the Units

Align with the project manager on the overall technical outcomes for the modules and delivery timelines

Leads the kick-off process ensuring all necessary resources are available in conjunction with business sponsor and that a robust project plan is in place

Monitors and execute assigned projects as per BDO SDLC and Governance process

Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables of the projects within scope, schedule and budget commitments

Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met

Identifies and logs project issues; Oversees the resolution process; and escalates issues when necessary

Lead, when necessary, re-scopes the projects and updates project plans accordingly

Leads the project closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned/ case studies are developed

Assists in selecting and on-going management of vendors/ suppliers for supporting selected projects

Facilitates vendor contracting, payments

Harness project best practices and contribute to the overall BDO knowledge base

Train new delivery managers with BDO project delivery processes

Manage a team of Analyst, Developers and tester for a specific or selected application(s) or platform(s)

Manage the team competency, assignment and workload

Work with the application owners, IT Operations, architects, and platform owners to ensure that the technical deliverables are

aligned with company standard processes and SDLC

Proactive management of issues and risk and timely escalations to the Unit Heads
