About the Role

The Technical Solutions Architect Scrum Master is accountable for both designing technical solutions and facilitating agile delivery processes. As a Solutions Architect, this role defines optimal system architectures to meet business requirements while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. As a Scrum Master, it guides the team through agile ceremonies, removes impediments, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

This dual role requires strong leadership to bridge technical strategy and team execution, ensuring solutions are both technically sound and efficiently delivered through agile practices.

Scope of Work / Responsibilities

  1. Develop an agile implementation strategy for the ISMS program, considering deliverables, resources, cross-functional team dynamics, and timelines. Act as project manager for the assigned program.

  2. Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, release planning, and retrospectives.

  3. Serve as the primary problem solver, managing potential disruptions and ensuring sprint progressincluding issue resolution with Microsoft support when needed.

  4. Manage Scrum artifacts such as the product backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO).

  5. Coordinate across functionsmanaging dependencies and communication with related project teams, Scrum Masters, leads, stakeholders, Product Owners, and the Enterprise Architecture team.

  6. Ensure overall quality of deliverables.

  7. Mentor the project team on agile principles and best practices to ensure delivery meets defined requirements.

  8. Ensure all technical and business documentation is current and comprehensive for knowledge management and transparency. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Architecture Blueprints (e.g., Solution Design Document, High-Level Solution Design)

    • Testing Suite documentation (UAT steps, regression testing, etc.)

    • Security Implementation Documents for SLTO

    • Disaster Recovery Plan, Training and Communication Plan, Deployment Plan, Transition and Maintenance Plan

    • Data Dog Vaccination Clearance Documentation, and Software Engineering Standards

  9. Lead end-to-end solution designunderstand business needs, challenge assumptions, and propose innovative, standards-aligned strategies.

  10. Implement project governance frameworks including coding standards, UI/UX uniformity, solution standardization, and security controls.

  11. Guide the development team in building new solutions and enhancing existing ones, providing technical direction across implementations.

  12. Organize the use of DevOps and CI/CD frameworks to streamline the development lifecycle and promote continuous improvement.

  13. Lead the development of Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions as needed.

  14. Champion the organizations prescribed technology stack while remaining open to emerging technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in digital transformation and system design, focusing on complex data structures.

  • At least 8 years of experience in solutions architecture using Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing dual roles as Solutions Architect and Scrum Master in an agile environment.

Technical Knowledge

  • Experience implementing AI components.

Soft Skills

  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to manage teams and foster collaboration.

Tools / Software

  • Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Experience with enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or open-source equivalents is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 (certification preferred).

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Agile Project Management certification.

  • Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect, RPA Developer, or Functional Consultant.
