IT Product Delivery Manager
About the job IT Product Delivery Manager
- Product Delivery and Governance
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned product delivery scope, ensuring adherence to agreed timeline, budget, and quality targets.
- Prepare/update product delivery workplan in consultation with stakeholders and taking into account dependencies; Monitor and track progress against the approved workplan and supporting plans; ensure timely escalation to Product Manager for addressing deviations.
- Ensure compliance with ITDs Product Delivery Guide (PDG), Implementing Guidelines for Financial Controls (IGFC) for Special CapEx IT projects, procurement rules, and other relevant ITD frameworks and policies.
- Actively manage and maintain the RAID log, ensuring timely preventive and corrective measures, including raising and coordinating Change Requests.
- Oversee the preparation of key deliverables, including:
- Fortnightly Product Delivery Status Reports
- Monthly budget disbursement forecasts in Apptio (TBM tool)
- Presentation materials and minutes for governance meetings (PSC meeting, Product Team meeting, etc.)
- Artifacts for health checks, attestations, and audit exercises.
- Vendor Management
- Support the Product Manager to handle relationships with vendors, ensuring contractual obligations, deliverables, and service levels are met.
- Oversee vendor performance monitoring, including periodic reviews against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Facilitate resolution of vendor-related risks, escalations, and disputes.
- Support the Product Manager in collaborating with Procurement and Legal teams on vendor engagement, contract negotiations, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Business Engagement
Proactively engage business users to validate requirements, manage expectations, and ensure business readiness
- for product deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of outcomes with business objectives.
- Support change management activities to promote adoption of product deliverables.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure product outputs meet required quality standards, including functional performance, security, and compliance criteria.
- Oversee testing approach, test planning, and defect management, ensuring appropriate signoffs from stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic health checks and quality reviews to identify gaps and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure product deliverables are fit for purpose and aligned with enterprise architecture and IT standards.
- Resource and Personnel Management
- Together with the Product Manager, oversee allocation, onboarding, and performance of resources (i.e., internal staff, contractors, and vendors).
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members to foster collaboration and high performance.
- Identify skill/resource gaps and work with the Product Manager to address staffing needs.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer within the team and to operational support staff post-delivery.
- Risk and Financial Management
- Continuously monitor financials and work closely with the Product Manager to ensure effective utilization of budget and timely forecasting of expenditures.
- Manage risks and dependencies to minimize delivery disruptions and maintain control over product delivery outcomes.
Collaborate with the Product Manager to re-baseline schedules, budgets, or scope where necessary.
ducation and Work Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
- Minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience demonstrated by a proven track record of success in managing complex IT initiatives related to delivering software projects
- Hands-on experience with agile delivery methods (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or hybrid approach) in enterprise IT environments
Technical Knowledge
- Strong Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of program and project management, including best practices, methodologies, and delivery tools
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, risk management, budget control, and resource management across projects and programs
- Solid understanding of application development lifecycles, database and systems design, testing methodologies, and delivery of software solutions
- Awareness of organizational change management and adoption strategies as critical enablers of IT project success
- Preferably with knowledge of business benefit realization and tracking for IT projects

- Proven ability to work with cross-functional technical teams, driving solution development across multiple domains while adapting to changing contexts
- Strong delivery mindset with a getting things done attitude; able to work autonomously while ensuring quality outcomes

Tools/Software
- Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools (MS Project, Project Online, or equivalent)
- Experienced in using collaboration and productivity platforms such as MS Teams, Office 365 (including SharePoint), and related tools
- Familiarity with integrity risk management and due diligence databases (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance) is an advantage.
Certification
- Required: May either be MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or CITPM certified
Preferred: with PMI-ACP, PSM/CSM, DA, SAFe, or ITIL-related certifications
