About the job Data Consultant

The Tableau Data Analyst / Designer is responsible for translating complex business and data requirements into intuitive, high-impact Tableau dashboards. The role supports the Cash Operations Optimization program by extending enterprise data visualization capabilities, strengthening data validation and analytics, and delivering rich, web-enabled dashboards in close collaboration with Technology, Risk, and Operations teams.

This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with governance and quality standards.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Business Liaison and Requirements Management

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and align dashboard outputs with operational and decision-making use cases
  • Establish and manage business and technical milestones, clearly communicating scope, dependencies, risks, and impacts at each stage
  • Guide business units through solution design considerations and data implications across functions
  • Define, coordinate, and validate comprehensive business test plans, ensuring dashboards accurately reflect complex data relationships across multiple domains

Technical Delivery and Dashboard Design

  • Work with Technology and business teams to define sprint plans for data, report, and dashboard delivery aligned with project timelines
  • Design and develop Tableau dashboards, reports, and visual interfaces that meet usability, performance, and accessibility standards
  • Perform quality assurance on all Tableau assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to best practices

Define test suites and ensure test execution meets agreed quality thresholds

Data Governance and Quality Framework

  • Establish and enforce data governance and data quality standards for Tableau, covering policies, metrics, and lifecycle management
  • Define and implement clear roles and responsibilities for data stakeholders, including data owners, creators, publishers, and consumers
  • Ensure consistent application of data standards across all dashboards and reporting assets

Architecture and IT Coordination

  • Engage with architectural review boards to secure design approvals and alignment with enterprise standards
  • Produce and maintain system and non-functional specifications, including disaster recovery, scalability, and cost management (FinOps) considerations
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure dashboards are securely deployed and operationally sustainable

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working with banks or fintech organizations in senior or lead roles
  • Expert-level knowledge of Tableau, including dashboard design, data visualization best practices, and advanced reporting capabilities
  • Proven experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Strong programming experience, including Web UI technologies, Python, and React
  • Experience designing and delivering analytics solutions across the full development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps

Technical Skills

  • Strong programming experience, including Web UI technologies, Python, and React
  • Experience designing and delivering analytics solutions across the full development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps
