Mainframe Developer

With knowledge and experience in the major functionalities and/or aspects. With at least 2-5 years experience

Required Skills:

1. Foundational programming skills with the ability to prototype, develop, and unit test application components. 

2. Working knowledge of at least one programming language or development environment (Mainframe, COBOL, Java, etc.). 

3. Ability to follow institutional development standards, coding guidelines, and system-wide business rules. 

4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills for interpreting requirements and resolving coding issues. 

5. Good documentation and communication skills to support structured development processes.

Scope of Work:

1. Prototype, develop, and unit test assigned application modules or program fragments. 

2. Write clean, maintainable code in alignment with approved development standards and business policies. 

3. Execute unit testing and document results to validate program functionality. 

4. Maintain development documentation, version history, and technical notes as required. 

5. Collaborate with senior developers and project teams to ensure outputs align with functional and technical requirements
