IT Analyst (ERP Financials)

About the Role

The Senior IT Analyst (ERP Financials) partners with business users and stakeholders to define system requirements, analyze issues, and design effective ERP Financial solutions. The role is responsible for preparing detailed functional and technical specifications, supporting system design and testing, and ensuring the ongoing stability, accuracy, and usability of the organizations ERP Financial system. This position also provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced analysts.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

System Analysis and Design

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed system and functional specifications
• Design ERP Financial system solutions that align with business processes and operational needs
• Define application issues by working closely with users and evaluating existing procedures and workflows
• Coordinate solution development with technical teams to ensure requirements are met
• Ensure the timely development, enhancement, and maintenance of the enterprise ERP Financial system
• Perform system testing across multiple ERP Financial modules
• Extract and analyze ERP Financial data to support reporting and decision-making
• Develop reports, queries, and data extracts from ERP Financial source systems
• Maintain and update ERP Financial application and system documentation
• Prepare process documentation and user training materials for ERP Financial implementations
• Conduct user training and provide post-implementation support
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior systems analysts
• Collaborate with business units, developers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system performance
• Participate in formal and on-the-job training to enhance technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• At least five (5) years of experience as a Systems Analyst, including a minimum of two (2) years working directly with business users
• At least five (5) years of hands-on experience supporting ERP Financial systems
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Working experience with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Oracle relational databases and multi-tier application architectures
• Extensive experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) for professional documentation
• Ability to prepare complex system specifications and conduct multi-module system testing

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
• Excellent communication skills, including facilitation, requirements elicitation, documentation, training, and presentations
• Ability to conduct independent analysis and anticipate risks, dependencies, and next steps
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to understand, anticipate, and adapt to changing business needs
• Proven ability to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and deliver results collaboratively
