QA Intern - Automation

Responsibilities

• Learn to write and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript
• Work closely with QA engineers and developers to understand product features and help define test scenarios.
• Execute automated tests, help identify bugs, and support debugging efforts.
• Assist in testing user interface (UI) features and basic functional flows.
• Get hands-on experience integrating tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Learn and apply best practices in test automation and version control using Git.

Requirements

• Final-year undergraduate students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Git and version control concepts (e.g. branching, pull requests).
• Some experience (academic or personal projects) with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with the idea of CI pipelines and how automated tests fit into them.
• Problem-solving mindset, curiosity to learn, and good communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with web automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright would be an added advantage.
• An understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies would also be beneficial.
