L2 Support Engineer – Active Monitoring & Application Support
Location: Lahore
Shift: 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM
Experience: 2–4 Years
We are hiring L2 Support Engineers to manage production monitoring, handle L1 escalations, and resolve complex application, database, and infrastructure issues. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure system stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor systems using Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, PagerDuty and respond to alerts
- Own incidents end-to-end, ensuring resolution within SLAs
- Analyze logs (ELK, Splunk, Graylog) and troubleshoot application/performance issues
- Investigate database issues (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Troubleshoot cloud and infra (AWS, Azure, GCP; networking, DNS, VPN, TLS)
- Understand workflows to identify root causes across application and business logic
- Maintain documentation (runbooks, SOPs, RCA, handovers)
Skills & Requirements
- 2–4 years in L2/Application Support or NOC roles
- Strong in log analysis, monitoring tools, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Knowledge of databases, networking fundamentals, and scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell)
- Experience with ticketing tools (Jira SM, ServiceNow) and Git
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field
Preferred
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools
- Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
- Cloud certifications
- Experience in Fintech, SaaS, or e-commerce
Other Details
- On-site (Lahore), night shift with on-call for critical incidents
- Growth path toward L3/DevOps/SRE roles with exposure to modern cloud environments
