Salary: LLW - £30,784
4 Pump Court is a leading full-service commercial set of barristers chambers with particular expertise in international arbitration, commercial dispute resolution, professional negligence, technology and telecoms, banking and financial services, energy, shipping, construction and engineering and insurance and reinsurance.
Applicants will need to be educated to A level standard (minimum 2 A levels) or above and be articulate, able to demonstrate initiative and work as a team player. This is a busy and demanding role and the ability to perform accurately under pressure is essential. You will have excellent I.T. and communication skills, be flexible, have a positive attitude and possess the ability to learn quickly and to adapt to new processes.
Principle duties include:
General Clerking:
Daily Court listings for hearings in the High Court, County Courts and Mercantile Courts
Updating barrister diaries, entering time recording and case data within the LEX system
Managing and undertaking Court runs
Sealing Orders and lodging documents at Court
Liaising with solicitors regarding the return of papers
Locating authorities online and within libraries
Photocopying and printing documents
Efficient management and distribution of incoming papers/instructions
Managing outbound post
General administrative duties
