Job Title: Stock Analyst

  • The Stock Analyst is responsible for analyzing and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, prevent stock outs or overstocks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock aging.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to inventory management
    • Monitor product demand and sales trends to forecast future inventory needs.
    • Develop and implement stock replenishment strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Work closely with commercial teams to understand demand forecasts and promotional activities.
    • Adjust inventory plans based on seasonal trends, product launches, or market events.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to product quality or delivery delays.
    • Monitor and manage stock-keeping units (SKUs) to optimize assortment and minimize excess stock.
    • Analyze SKU performance and recommend adjustments to the product mix.
    • Calculate and analyze inventory turnover ratios to assess the efficiency of inventory management.
    • Implement strategies to improve turnover rates and reduce holding costs.
    • Assist in the valuation of inventory and the assessment of inventory accounting methods.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
    • Evaluate the accuracy of demand forecasts and make adjustments as needed.
    • Implement tools and methodologies to enhance forecasting precision.
    • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze historical sales data, inventory levels, and market trends.
    • Generate reports and insights to support decision-making.
    • Allocate stock to different locations or channels based on demand and sales priorities.
    • Implement strategies for optimal product allocation.
    • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies in stock levels.
    • Identify and manage obsolete or slow-moving stock.
    • Implement strategies to minimize excess stock and associated costs.


    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience
    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
    • Previous experience in stock and inventory analysis.
    • Advanced understanding of business, commercial and supply chain operation
    • Highly skillful in organization of demand planning
    • High proficiency in developing complex inventory strategies
    • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
