About the job Financial Analyst - ERP Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on financial analyst with deep operational experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to join our finance team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in daily ERP support within a financial operations environment, combined with solid accounting knowledge and a proactive, independent work style. This role focuses on leveraging ERP expertise to support real-world financial processes, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations—not system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for daily ERP-related financial operations support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to GL, AP, AR, and other financial modules.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to end-users on ERP functionality and best practices.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the ERP system.
- Document procedures, issues, and resolutions for ongoing reference.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, proactively communicating updates and following through on tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Operational ERP Experience: At least 3+ years of hands-on, day-to-day experience using and supporting an ERP system in a financial operations role (e.g., D365 F&O, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Accounting Foundation: Practical understanding of accounting principles, including GL, AP, AR, and financial reporting. Accounting experience or CPA pursuit is a strong plus.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proactive, follow-through approach.
- Work Style: Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively without constant oversight.
- Hybrid Availability: Ability to work onsite in Gainesville, TX, at least 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational environment.
- Exposure to D365 F&O, though deep functional experience in other ERPs is acceptable.
- Prior role as a financial analyst, senior accountant, or similar position with heavy ERP interaction.
What We Do NOT Need
- Candidates with only implementation, consulting, or project-based ERP experience.
- Individuals lacking day-to-day operational ERP support experience.
- Those with weak accounting knowledge or poor communication habits.
Why Join Us?
- Opportunity to transition to a permanent role after a 500-hour contract period.
- Competitive salary with potential for growth.
- Work alongside a team that values accounting expertise, independence, and real-world problem-solving.
