Remote Backup Engineer

We are currently seeking a and experienced Backup Engineer to join our team on a remote basis. As a Backup Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backup solutions for our organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Designing and implementing backup solutions for our organisation

- Performing regular backups and monitoring backup systems to ensure data integrity

- Troubleshooting backup issues and resolving them in a timely manner

- Collaborating with other members of the IT team to ensure data protection and recovery strategies are in place

- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in backup and recovery

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 3+ years of experience in backup engineering or a related field

- Strong technical skills in backup technologies (e.g. Veeam Backup & Replication, AWS S3, Azure Backup)

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- US citizenship required for remote work eligibility
