The Opportunity: Drive Infrastructure Excellence and Own Operational Strategies.

Rothbright is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This pivotal role requires an individual contributor prepared to assume significant ownership of our infrastructure, automation, and deployment initiatives. You will spearhead the design, implementation, and optimization of robust CI/CD pipelines and scalable cloud environments that underpin our advanced web applications and platforms. Key Responsibilities

Lead CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated, efficient, and reliable software delivery from development to production.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Mastery: Drive the creation and maintenance of infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistency, version control, and rapid

provisioning of environments.

Advanced Deployment Strategies: Implement and manage sophisticated deploymenttechniques, including Blue/Green Deployments, to minimize downtime and risk during releases.

AWS Cloud Architecture & Management: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, IAM, Route 53).

Cloudflare Integration & Optimization: Configure and optimize Cloudflare services for improved performance, security (WAF, DDoS protection), and reliability across our applications.

Linux System Administration: Provide expert-level administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for Linux-based servers and systems.

Monitoring, Logging & Alerting: Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability, proactive issue detection, and performance insights.

Problem Resolution: Act as a primary escalation point for complex infrastructure and deployment issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.

Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure and deployment practices adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on DevOps principles, tools, and best practices, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with development, QA, and product teams to integrate DevOps principles, streamline workflows, and ensure seamless delivery of software.

Continuous Improvement: Remain current with emerging DevOps trends, cloud technologies, and industry best practices. Evaluate and recommend new tools and

approaches to enhance our infrastructure and operational capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar infrastructure-focused role.

Profound expertise in designing, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).

Expert-level command of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, including module development and state management.

Extensive hands-on experience with advanced deployment strategies, specifically Blue/Green Deployments, and other zero-downtime release techniques.

Demonstrated expertise in architecting, deploying, and managing highly available and scalable solutions on AWS.

Strong proficiency in configuring and optimizing Cloudflare for performance, security, and DNS management.

Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.

Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience with AI/ Generative coding tools (e.g., Windsurf, ZED)

Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPCs).

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch).

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, particularly for complex distributed systems.

Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and thrive within an agile, team-oriented environment.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS).

Knowledge of other IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Experience with database administration concepts for Postgres and MongoDB.

Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer - Professional, Solutions Architect - Professional).

Prior experience within a technology agency or consulting environment.
