As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of scalable, reliable data solutions that power Fortiss DataHub platform. You will help build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, drive event-driven data synchronization, and ensure high-quality, trusted data is available acros internal and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems.

Implement and expand on event-driven data synchronization processes to ensure near real time data consistency.

Perform data modeling, storage strategy, and performance optimization across databases and data platforms.

Implement robust data quality, monitoring, and observability practices.

Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable datavsolutions.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

Strong expertise in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#).

Experience designing event-driven or streaming architectures.

Deep understanding of data modeling, distributed systems, and performance tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms and modern data tooling.

Good data analytics skills.

Enjoys working primarily with data.

Understanding of how ELT/ETL pipelines are built.

Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
