ACES is seeking a senior Tactical Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) Combat Identification (CID) and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) modernization effort. Hybrid Work requires TS/SCI CLEARANCE on 5-Year Contract at offices in the Mark Center, Alexandria, VA. This is the Senior SME position for DoD CID/IFF directly supports the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI
- Education/Experience: Masters with 15 years in relevant field or bachelors with 17 years relevant experience
- Technical: The ideal candidate would be a retired Maj/LtCol aviator or Senior NCO aircrew type with CID/IFF and strong senior staffing experience. To be successful, candidate must demonstrate a high capacity for learning, adaptability to change, and strong problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate should be able to acclimate to new situations quickly and rapidly acquire new skills. They must also be capable of seamlessly transitioning into novel roles and responsibilities, ensuring a smooth integration into the team..
- Communication: Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized and focused on priorities in a dynamic and multifaceted environment.
STRUCTURE
- Contract Length: 5 years
- Work Location: Mark Center, Alexandria, VA
- Telework: In office 2-3 days per week/as required rest telework

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Subject Mater Expertise as contractor lead for DoD CID/IFF Modernization.
- Support development of DoD Tactical Communications Modernization Plan (TCMP), DoD C3 Modernization Plan (C3MS), and DoD Digital Modernization Plan (DMS).
- Work with MILDEP Service representatives and Service SMEs to ensure accuracy of data entered into the DoD authoritative SharePoint-based TCMP Data Repository.
- Provide SME support to CIO participants in the Tactical Communications Senior Steering Group (SSG) and C3 Leadership Board.
- Support development and coordination of DoD CIO positions on technical and policy issues, helping to ensure interoperability of DoD Tactical Communications systems.
- Provide technical support and prepare roadmaps, policy, and standards to assist government in ensuring Tactical Communications interoperability among DoD and partner nations.
